Spending her first few years working at Middlemore and Greenlane Hospitals, Shy is well versed in treating patients with complex medical conditions and surgical dental procedures such as wisdom teeth extraction.

Shy has a special interest in helping patients who are nervous about dental treatment. She has done comprehensive training in Conscious Sedation or Sleep Dentistry to make their dental treatment more manageable.

With a gentle approach and over 15 years of experience treating anxious patients, she has experience in the full range of general dental procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, crowns and veneers, aesthetic smile enhancements, and extractions. Shy has also undergone further training in Botox treatments and surgical implant placement.

In her spare time, Shy is a busy mum of two girls and one dog and loves spending time with her extended family. She is also passionate about volunteering at the Medical and Dental camps in Fiji.

She stays updated with the latest advancements in dental techniques and treatments, ensuring that her patients receive the highest standard of care.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Fermor values spending quality time with her family and friends, enjoys getting lost in a good book, and loves getting outdoors.

His vast experience in periodontics, a specialty dedicated to maintaining healthy gums and the treatment of gum disease, provides a unique and valuable feature in his treatment methods.

Dr Zaveri suggests gum conditions and diseases are most commonly under-diagnosed and because the disease does not have many symptoms it is not perceived as a problem by people.

She adopts a conservative approach to maintain the aesthetics of patients’ teeth, informing every step of the way. She will advise what is best for the patient as not every treatment option will work for everyone. She is professional yet friendly.
